The Third Party
Neil Greer

A stylish thriller, unmasking the depth of corruption of Russia’s new elite.

36-year old American Paul Stevens unwittingly finds himself the target of the Russian Security Police
(the FSB) when his new Moscow apartment is seized as part of an investigation into an art forgery ring.

In a daze, Paul tries to return a painting he removed earlier from the flat to Muscovite Julia, the previous owner. His true aim is to ask her to dinner, but he’s rudely told to leave and to take the painting with him.

Paul then uncovers a secret that leads him to believe Julia’s grandfather may have been involved in forging paintings stolen by Russia from Germany during WWII and hiding the originals.

Paul must find a way to help Julia remember painful details of her past while at the same time trying to outrace the FSB.

The mystery ultimately implicates Russia’s new president, and takes them from Moscow to Tbilisi
and back.
